Must have for serious anglers looks for sealed performance at a price that appeals to a wider audience. Ive landed countless striped bass, and even brown sharks on this 6000, and its been nothing short of amazing.

We love and use tsunami rods and reels for surf and back bay fishing. 6000 for surf and 4000 for back bay. We use airwave elite rods for big water and 9’ tsunami rods for skinny water.
Thank you !!! my favorite rods and reels , clothing!!! been using my shield reel for years and the handle broke i replace it and looking for another reel and saw salt 2 and picked up 6000 . have two tsunami salt x med rods and needed another reel didn't like the spinfisher on it. now i have 6000 salt X2 reel on it. still like my shield as my number 1 . still getting used to it. I don't like changes. thank you !!!
Incredible product amazing price point for a sealed reel!! Truly makes surf fishing less stressful when you don't have to treat your reel like a new born child!! It will take whatever mishaps ypu have to offer in stride!! Service dept is amazing also!! Just wish they had a 5000 size.

I use Penn Battle reels for almost all of my fishing, but this SaltX II beats them all. Smooth, lightweight. I had to adjust my cast timing because my rig was so light after the change. Wish I could afford to replace all my reels with these!
I repair these reels for Folsom, and i know a good product when I see it. Take it from a guy who services them.
Amazing reel. Throw it in the sand or water and it is completely fine. I fish these SaltXs almost exclusively now!
I think the size is over rated, in other words I would say the size is equivalent to a 2500 not 3000. It certainly lacks in spool size and line capacity.

I purchased my reel from a dealer in Gulf Breeze Florida while on vacation. Once I returned to my home in Virginia and took the reel out of the box I noticed that it was damaged. I contacted the factory regarding the damage reel. The immediately sent me a new reel. There support is outstanding….

This thing is a tank I’ve beat on this thing like crazy as a shore fishing guide I bought a 3k in Florida used wading for a few months with the casual dunk and since then brought it up to Alaska for a full torture test. I have reeled this thing underwater, dunks every day multiple times a day, ONLY SPRAYED OFF TWICE THIS MONTH and it still feels great not a single sound out of the reel

I have yet to use it on the water, but this 8000 model feels like an absolute monster capable of 200lb+ tarpon
Shipping times and customer service were also great. No issues just a question. Only issue was actually with the shipping company. They left it at my door. No knock. In a noticeably bad area. I did get it. Just saying.
I recently bought 2 4000k sized reels i have put them through sand and sea and they are still just as nice.
I haven’t had the opportunity to try it out but so far im impressed with appearance and construction of it. The true test will come when the Stripers come back in spring. Till than is when I’ll post part 2 of my review.
After debating between the 4000 or 6000, I pinched on the 6000 and I am ecstatic I did. I ordered it on a Monday and had it in my hands on Wednesday, two days later. I paired it with my ODM DNA 10' and reeled in a 30lb. striper on the following Saturday. It has and continues to perform beyond my expectations. Smooth drag and with 40 pounds of it, gives me the piece of mind that whatever I hook will be flopping at my feet. The waterproof backpack is a wonderful bonus, so if you have been good this year a quick letter to Santa will be of great benefit to you!!
Haven’t gotten to use the reel yet, but I’m very happy with how it feels. We just got hit buy hurricane Milton in my area
