Solid, well-made reel. This is a surprising value at this price.

Barrier II Spinning Reel

I got this as a replacement for another reel that had an issue. Haven't caught a fish with it yet but got to cast some lures with it feels alot better then the one it replaced. 100% a fan of tsunami products they are a great company to deal with.

Barrier II Spinning Reel

It was a replacement for the Rigged and ready combo. It looks alot better then the original. Seems sturdy and smooth. Haven't used it yet im not a fan of fishing in the cold. I'll be back in a few months to test it out but looks like it will be nice.

Solid saltwater reel on a budget. Constructed well and lightweight. Great deal.

Barrier II Spinning Reel

Compact, lightweight, great value. For the price, it punches above its weight. Would definitely recommend.

Barrier II Spinning Reel

when I started putting line on the reel I noticed that it was more on the bottom of the spool than the top. I took off the majority of line and made sure the top had more line than the bottom and then filled the spool, it was even. When I used it I could feel something not right as I was retrieving the lure and when I had a fish on. I took the spool off but couldn’t see anything wrong. Disappointed with the reel. something needs to be changed with this one. I own 9 or 10 Tsunami reels. I have 3-4 that need repair where can I send them to be fixed?

I have yet to try it out, but based off looks it looks absolutely amazing, I am very satisfied so far

Had to chime in here, I actually never purchased nor intended to purchase this reel, I found one abandoned on the jetty with a broken bail spring... so i figured what the heck... took it home and replaced the spring, gave it a thorough cleaning, wasn't expecting much from the reel as I have many more expensive spinners in my arsenal. Well here we are a year later and it has earned a slot in my "don't leave home without it" quiver. I fish every day, and it sees saltwater at least 4 times a week. It has accounted for 7 speckled trout over 28" and unlike my sexier hardware it has not stuttered, stalled, or stiffened up on me a single time. The drag is excellent, smooth and easy to adjust on the fly without any big spikes in the range through which i operate it and it backs off to almost 0 drag without getting loose when I want to stick it in a questionable crevice with a big live bait out. The clicker isnt loud but the tone gets my attention when it needs to. Throws 15lb braid a mile and when I ask it to pick up loose line it usually does so neater than most. Only complaint would be that on the occasions loose line does get under the spool it really gets hung up in the teeth of the clicker washer badly... removing the spool is mandatory and quite often the line is damaged by the sharp edges of said washer. But hey, line under the spool is user error 100 percent of the time, but I would like to see them deburr that washer a bit. Still, I can't say enough good things about this ugly little $40 reel I found, It has earned my full confidence and i don't hesitate to reach for it when a real trophy is in range. If I ever lose this one I will buy another that same day, and Tsunami as a brand has earned my respect.

Season here in the bronx is dead but still went out to try to catch something. Paired this reel with the Heyskipper rod and added 40lb braided line. The reel casts and reels very smoothly. Seems very durable. Looking forward to catching something this coming spring. if still available, I will be buying another for my nephew. Don't underestimate this reel because of the price- TRUST ME!

Barrier II Spinning Reel

Got to say I was skeptical at first with this purchase. I've got a few saltx and shields and was thinking at this price it would have to lack in quality. I was very wrong. This reel is extremely well made a little stiff at first but, after a few hours it functions smooth as butter. Only draw back I've found so far is the drag could be a tad stronger. Over all I'll end up with a few more of these.

I bought this reel and rod combo in the 4000 and 6000 series. The 6000 was missing a handle so, after a few emails, they sent me a new replacement reel. Great support. I think they need to make or carry some basic replacement parts or even upgrades to things like the handle to make it easier on buyers. I think they also need solid literature on their offerings like reel and model comparisons so buyers can make better decisions. Online video for each would help.

Barrier II Spinning Reel

I have both this and the SaltX. Bang for the buck, nobody can beat either one.

Barrier II Spinning Reel

Barrier II Spinning Reel

Barrier II Spinning Reel

It is the best fishing reel ever bought is number one in my book

Barrier II Spinning Reel

This has been one of the best reels I have used in my line of fishing, The smoothness of each turn makes the experience great when reelin gin that catch. The bearing system is quite and makes it effortless in reeling. Strength and looks are a plus as well. Overall great product.
